Set your alarm (and go)

Jog, exercise, live, quote, quotation, walk, skip, shower, breakfast, water, friends, philosophy, psychology, peace, lifestyle, exercise, fruit, eat

Sounds like a plan for today. (Ex bra, body butter & lotion, tinted cheeks, painting nails, etc.)

Sunday Morning Skies

Still life by Nicholas Hely-Hutchinson (1950)Laying in just after waking
Covers pulled tight, no chance of moving
Looking through open widows
At a clear blue Sunday sky
Smiling through memories
Those thoughts which fill head
Of the night before, the days to come
The way friends are always near
In a perfect innocence their words
Carry away all worries
Becoming distracted by the self
Coffee and toast on the bedside
Slowly going cold
Sleep still lingers in the eye
A soft breeze blows in
Television on in the background
A morning of rest and recollection
While looking at a clear blue sky
The joy of a Sunday morning

~ Matthew Holloway

I was in I-95 traffic snarl yesterday. Did this. It worked. (For 8 minutes)

“We spend great energy in mental processes wishing things were different than they are. Wishing the traffic jam didn’t exist. Wishing the boss were a little nicer, wishing our children would take our advice, wishing, wishing, wishing. Acceptance is a key to a happier life. If we can just try to accept what is, and that wanting otherwise is often wasted energy, we will be happier. We would be better able to experience the moment more fully with this state of mind.”

I wonder how long I would last in this hotel room

Solitude, Mobile Hotel Room, Andalsnes, Norway

“As soon as we are alone…inner chaos opens up in us. This chaos can be so disturbing and so confusing that we can hardly wait to get busy again. Entering a private room and shutting the door, therefore, does not mean that we immediately shut out all our inner doubts, anxieties, fears, bad memories, unresolved conflicts, angry feelings and impulsive desires. On the contrary, when we have removed our outer distraction, we often find that our inner distraction manifest themselves to us in full force. We often use the outer distractions to shield ourselves from the interior noises. This makes the discipline of solitude all the more important.”
