There is a kingfisher in Colchester that I would like to photograph, though they move fast.
I bet they do. Which makes this photo so impressive.
I agree, this is amazing photographer and shots. Thank you dear David, love, nia
Thanks Nia. I agree with you.

Perfect Dive!
I am SO glad we got the power back so I could see what you would be waking us up with today…fabulous photo – three in one dive! Impressive!
Welcome back Mimi. What is it with you and this power thing?
It has been really awful – all of the power lines are above ground, and all of the trees very mature – it’s not a great combination when these big storms come through I guess. And though we’re only 20+ miles outside of DC, our houses are not in a development per se – there’s only 16 of us, so they typically worry about our power last. How’s that for a lengthy explanation to a simple question. Not that I’m frustrated or anything.
Hmmm. And no, your frustration is not apparent to the rest of us. 🙂
Wow!! Down the hole and back with a chilled shishkabob! Impressive! And Mimi, so glad that the lights are on once more!! 🙂
You had me laughing. Evocative (I learned this word from you) choice of words. Have a good week Lori.
Perfect images for a Monday morning. 🙂
Thank you
STUNNING image! Imagine waiting for that one on the ice… 🙂
Yes, I suspect the photographer was waiting for some time.
Three for one! What aim.
I imagine that gives new meaning to the phrase, “Eats like a bird.”
Straight down into icy water on a Monday morning…yep, that about says it all… 🙂

Smiling. Yes, nothing like an ice cold shower AND breakfast.
Is this the cooler version of the early bird gets 3 fish? 🙂 Great shot!
Yes, much cooler with 3 fish!
Natural and Captivating.
Great shot! He really stopped the action at the right time. Beautiful bird!
Yes, have to applaud the photographer as well as the bird…
Brrr! I’m glad he got some fish for his trouble.
No kidding.
I have a friend who is an avian photographer, he amazes me with his patience for shots he takes. This is amazing, and while I love it, it leaves me feeling so unproductive 🙂 Damn.
Laughing. It’s all aspirational for us, right Bonnie?!
I suppose it is, yes…sigh…
Stunning 🙂
Wow, amazing pictures, such a beautiful bird!
To go that fast, hit that small ice hole and not just catch one but three fish. Both Kingfisher and photographer amazing!!
Superbird!
