Could you imagine waking up with those eyes looking at you – or rather boring a hole through your eyelids?? I’d say I feel sorry for the bug s/he has in her sites – but it looks like it’s a mosquito and probably one with West Nile, so I think it’s ok. Have a good day my friend.

    • But he’s so cute! Yes, I picked up on the mosquito too. It adds character and an additional story line (West Nile is timely one). Hope you had a good day too Mimi.

Long day – Andy had to have arthroscopic surgery on his knee. All went well, that’s the best news. But I’ve been up all night changing ice packs – not the greatest news…

      • I hope the surgery was successful. From what it sounds like, it that will take a bit of time for Andy to get back up and at it.

Good morning, David. That face and beak would scare me back to sleep. :)

  3. Wow! The “gaping maw” takes on a whole new meaning when viewed from this angle! Wishing you a great start to the week, David!

  4. mimijk beat me to the comment about the mosquito and west nile virus..

Then she grows up to look like her cousin, here http://villageundertaker.wordpress.com/2012/08/27/a-bad-decision/

That mosquito picked the wrong flight path this morning cause that eagles mouth is watering with anticipation.

    Freaky!

  7. I listened to two young eagles screeching first thing in the morning (and all day long) all summer. They have a nest in my neighbours’ yard. If you can’t tune out the shrieking it gets to be like Chinese water torture. But it’s certainly a wake up call every day. No alarm clock needed.

  8. Gives a whole new perspective to focus and determination; this Monday morning I say, “I’ll have what (s)he’s having!”

  9. I think it is pretty amazing that someone took a picture at that exact moment..
