Home at last, I haul in the grocery bags, swallow a couple of extra-strength Tylenol, put the entire Van Morrison play list on the stereo, and spend the afternoon roasting vegetables and making pasta sauce, salad, and a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Outside, the rain comes down in sheets. I am singing “Days Like This,” belting out the song. The kitchen fills with good smells.

This sounds pretty much like my day except for the rain.
Sounds like a wonderful day for you Lulu.
Love anything VM plays!
Such a coincidence, I’ve been listening to Van M.. quite a bit the past ten days! In the car or I listen while I am surfing the web. This is currently playing in the background, ” I’ll Be Your Lover, too” https://youtu.be/hA_oz-wUFmk I even sent the link to to a friend,
last week because the lyrics and sound are so great….signed Christie, ” a brown eyed girl”
Great tune – as is “a brown eyed girl”
Smile-inducing. When you get tired of the rain, please send it our way. I think California’s reservoirs are beginning to forget what water feels like.
I can imagine. Unfortunately, I never seem to tire of it Russ.
Ahhh. One of my favorite songs. Glad to see your blog is still going strong…
Mine too Todd. Thank you. Hope you are doing well.
and what a perfect day that is –
Isn’t it though?!!
That little blurb went right through me. Onto the list it goes.
