I think about time differently since I got to be this old.
I think of each moment as a big La-Z-Boy,
or perhaps a hammock,
and the only direction is a little back and forth,
or side to side.
For this I need peace and quiet,
and I eschew all outside stimulation.
Perhaps this is why the future escapes me.

Such wonderful writing, and of course I love the hammock image. 🙂 I have to admit to feeling very like this at the moment. 😕
Me too. Me too.
Deep breath….exhale….sigh. 💕
That’s it!
who needs the future, when the moment is so grand?
And THAT, is the moral of the story
Lovely, but I’m not ready for the rocking chair just yet…. ☺️
Yes, that slice was too early (way) 🙂
Can I recognize that the present is all I have, that the future doesn’t exist and still not be ready for the hammock or the La-Z-Boy? Though I have to admit, both are pretty comfortable…
Yes to all this!
I love reading a book in the hammock, great post!
I need a hammock!
I think the hammock is a tool which invites us in to be still. To read or to gently rock or just be in this moment. I love my hammock. A good investment. 🙂
🙂 I need one.
