4:02am and Inspired…

We’re kicking off Hump Day with the 2012 American Idol winner Phillip Phillips…and this will be followed by several inspirational posts by my favorite bloggers.

Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it’ll all be clear
Don’t pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it’ll all be clear
Don’t pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

From the South of France (originally from Oregon), John R. Childress @ Rethinking Leadership and his post: Learning a Life Lesson, The Painful Way… where John dusts off memories in his reconciliation of a tragic event “where a certain girl (from the housing projects) admired me and wanted desperately to go to the prom with me (the cool jock with brains). To be honest, I handled it very poorly and that was only the beginning of my life lesson…”  Very moving post…with a powerful finish.  “Life is a harsh teacher.  It gives the test first and the lesson afterwards.”

From NYC Area, Caitlin Kelly @ The Broadside and her two posts: Etan Patz Murderer Finally Arrested 33 Years Later (…I love being a reporter…I live to find and tell compelling stories…But sometimes they sear you forever…) and Road Trip (…Drive in the cool of the night, as we did in North Carolina, the scent of dew-covered jasmine filling our nostrils.”).  Caitlin takes me away to another place with her writing and her posts.

From India, Indira @ Amaltaas and check out her beautiful Haiku titled Haiku-Faith which captures the essence and spirit of this photo.

    1. Indira, “Hump Day” is the middle of the week. You’ve climbed through Monday and Tuesday and you are scaling Wednesday the middle of the week (or Hump Day) before the down hill stretch to Thurs, Friday and the weekend!

  1. Phillip got my vote! Great song. Also, great blog picks. I especially liked John’s painful high school memory…..and who can go wrong with dogs and babies? These were wonderful. Thank you.

  2. Phillip was my favorite from auditions-could listen to him all day long. This song speaks to me-
