Top of the mornin’ to you with Dobbie Brothers and Takin’ It to the Streets. Volume up. And here’s a shout out to a few bloggers inspiring me with their posts this week:
Patrick @ Canadian Hiking Photography. Check out the photos. One word: WOW. Goose bumps for this Canadian. If I had a flag right now, it would go up. GO CANADA!
Christian Fahey @ The Upside with his post titled Iron on Iron. “I got a call from an old friend yesterday…”
Todd Lohenry @ Todd’s Perspective with his share: There are good people out there. “…My husband and I, along with our twin sons, have spent a total of four years cycling the Americas. We’ve pedaled 27,000 miles in all…”
Mimi @ Waiting for The Karma Truck with her post: For You. “…some days are diamonds while others are…”
Nicholas Bate with his post: Spend Time With the Best…"The best will remind you that good is no longer good enough, that excellence is a nice place to be as it’s not at all crowded and it’s just a decision away.”
And from Manage Better Now: Need Some Advice. “…Your primary responsibility as a manager is to develop those around you…” Solid. Solid. Solid leadership and management blog. Skip the platitudes elsewhere and dial in here. You’ll be sure to learn something…
From the Meta Picture…whether you are a cat lover or not…I’m still laughing @ Sneak Level 99 and Cat Toy Force Field.
Have a great Hump Day!

Thanks David..It really means a lot to me when something I write resonates with you (you’re so friggin’ talented) – and you NAILED it with this pick from the Doobie Brothers (Michael McDonald…big sigh…)
Thank you Mimi. But today, it’s All YOU Mimi. All YOU… 🙂
You’re not only really talented, you also make me laugh…not an easy task pre-coffee..:-)
Way to start my morning!
🙂
I LOVE Doobie Bros.
Me too…although we certainly age/date ourselves with the music. My kids look at me with three heads when I mention Doobies…
I know, I know! I don’t even like to admit what kind of music I like anymore.
Thanks for the links. I enjoyed them all. I remember when I first heard Michael McDonald sing. At the time i never saw him before but I just had to know who was this guy! My dad had bought me my own little record player aa few years back and after pesking him to buy his album, he finally did so he could hear about this amazing voice I was talking about. He agreed after listening to the record and decided that we had to share the album. That day was one of my favorite childhood moments. Thanks for the memories David!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Great story. I am a huge Michael McDonald. Like his somewhat recent Motown album. Great stuff.
Those incredible mountains? My backyard 🙂
No words can do justice to the splendor and majesty of those Rockies – or the sense of accomplishment when you get to the top.
I admire those who hike and climb in winter – I’m just a fair weather hiker.
Yes, photos made me homesick. 🙂
A great song to start the day, awesome photos, and inspiring articles. Thanks for posting these links — especially the one from Christian Fahey (The Upside). It led me to his daughter’s story, “One hundred dollars.” More than puts things into perspective.
Thanks Sandy. Yes, I read the story Christian’s daughter wrote. Very moving. What incredible talent. And Christian always had thoughtful posts. It’s a frequent stop for me.
Dave, as usual, you’ve put me onto some great posts that I wouldn’t otherwise find on my own. Your blog is like a lantern, illuminating some the most inspiring and creative things on the Internet. It always make me stop and think…and smile. Thanks! – Jay
Jay, thank you. I appreciate your feedback very much. I’m thankful and grateful that you and others are inspired by similar posts that inspire me. Let’s hope the lantern can keep burning!
I agree with Jay above thank you for being a hub where others can find informative and inspiring blog posts. 🙂
Thank you Tina. I appreciate your kind words and thoughts.
