Could you imagine waking up with those eyes looking at you – or rather boring a hole through your eyelids?? I’d say I feel sorry for the bug s/he has in her sites – but it looks like it’s a mosquito and probably one with West Nile, so I think it’s ok. Have a good day my friend.

But he’s so cute! Yes, I picked up on the mosquito too. It adds character and an additional story line (West Nile is timely one). Hope you had a good day too Mimi.

Long day – Andy had to have arthroscopic surgery on his knee. All went well, that’s the best news. But I’ve been up all night changing ice packs – not the greatest news…

I hope the surgery was successful. From what it sounds like, it that will take a bit of time for Andy to get back up and at it.

That mosquito picked the wrong flight path this morning cause that eagles mouth is watering with anticipation.

I’m afraid that mosquito is nothing more than a straggling piece of dental floss for this bird. Looking for something more substantial.

I listened to two young eagles screeching first thing in the morning (and all day long) all summer. They have a nest in my neighbours’ yard. If you can’t tune out the shrieking it gets to be like Chinese water torture. But it’s certainly a wake up call every day. No alarm clock needed.

I didn’t realize that eagles screeched Anneli. Now I learned something today.

The young eagles have a high pitched screeching call. Drives me nuts sometimes! (So now you know what happened!) 😉

Yes, I’m not sure I would have had the patience to wait for just the right moment.

I know that I wouldn’t…maybe they had a camera set up that took pictures when there was any movement???
