you can hear the clouds rub against the sky.

Magnificent.
It is!
Wonderful…and to come up with some of those ‘lies’ require child-like imagination.
So agree Helen.
Brilliant words of reality, David and an awesome picture of the beautiful clouds.
Yes Kamal. Agree
Welcome
great approach.
Isn’t it though?!?
Fantastic! When I was little, my mom used to tell me if I stood very still and listened hard, I could hear the corn grow. Used to stop he in my tracks…briefly. 😉
listen to corn grow. love that.
Funnily enough, the soybeans didn’t do jack…😉
Funny!
Oh how beautiful, David!
Thanks Julie!

… as quiet as a mouse, in the early hours of the morning!!
Yes….
One has to go very very far for that…
Beautiful!
Not so far in the mind…just a short hop…
I just saw the title of where this came from, “Lies I’ve told my three year old recently.” This is not a lie.
So you just skim over my posts and don’t read them end to end? Is this how you translate too?
LAUGHING. It hurts to laugh. I busted my back yesterday and still went for my 9 hour day at work. I’m over drugged. I never skim over things, especially your posts.
You what? Busted your back? Seriously?
As in popped something out of place, or pinched a nerve, twisted something. Doing nothing, only getting ready for work, standing in the middle of the room, putting my pants on. So, not only am I in a new age bracket now, I also have to lean on something while getting dressed, might as well do it sitting down.
Ouch. So sorry. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you! I promise I don’t skim 😉
Good!
Now that’s a peaceful day!
Thank you…poetry in the imagination! I love picturing this parent child relationship…children are so ready to join in to this way of thinking.
it is! I agree Valerie
I can see that enthusiastic, precious three year old, finding a place to nest on the lawn next to the bright nasturtiums alive with bumble bees, trying to be still, while shielding his eyes from the sun as he looks and listens, waiting for the magic of an enchanting moment…
Ah yes. Magic!
YEAH, but if the ‘lies you tell to your 3yrs old’ are so cutely formulated, nobody could mind, could they?
This is really über poetic. Would love to read more….
It is. And here’s the rest: http://www.mexicanpictures.com/headingeast/2008/03/lies-ive-told-my-3-year-old-re.html
LOVE LOVE LOVE
No, I won’t be always there – maybe the ONE no parent should tell their 3yr old….
THANKS a lot for this
Thought it was a BOOK and was astonished to see HOW MANY ‘Lies I’ve told’…. titles are available 😉
But also found this:
