What I see in dreams
makes me breathe
shallow
like golden trout
floating just beneath
the skin of water
warmed by
late autumn’s
ticklish light

Great image…
It is. Thanks Todd.
Her observational words, beautiful…I googled and noticed this: The Poets Guide to The Birds, edited by “Judith Kitchen “and “Ted Kooser”, Anhinga Press (2009)one from the many books she has written…
Sorry, I googled your excerpt (http://www.audubon.org/news/review-poets-guide-birds-edited-judith-kitchen-and-ted-kooser) and couldn’t see connection.
Perhaps it was a book M.J. Iuppa, was recommending? In the past you have shared work of Ted Kooser (TK being the connection)., which I liked…. I think Judith Kitchen might be a poet I should read…
Ah, ok. Thanks
