Sunday Morning

face,portrait,red,

It could happen any time, tornado,
earthquake, Armageddon. It could happen.
Or sunshine, love, salvation.

It could, you know. That’s why we wake
and look out – no guarantees
in this life.

But some bonuses, like morning,
like right now, like noon,
like evening.

  5. Hi my friend
You dried my tears this morning. The words so true, hard to live by everyday but worth the effort.

  6. William Stafford is one of my favorites. I’m on unsteady ground these days and have to remind myself daily that there are no guarantees – just NOW.

    • Right Now. Your thought remind me of:

Most humans are never fully present in the now,
      because unconsciously
they believe that the next moment
must be more important than this one.
But then you miss your whole life,
      which is never not now.”
