Sunday Morning: Africa in Black & White

Thank you Rolly for sharing this inspiring video…

  1. Reblogged this on Carlo Favaretti.

  2. Incredible! Each is more breathtaking than the one before. I’ve seen Nick Brandt’s work in the past and I am in awe. I think his image of the man with the two big elephant tusks is *incredible* (can be seen on the front page of his website). Thanks for this shot of inspiration on a lazy Sunday morning, David!

  3. Amazing pictures..and gorgeous music (played at my wedding, so I have a bias)..what a perfect way to start the day …I have to see out Nick Brandt’s website. I don’t know which is my favorite – the rhinos, the baby elephant with its mom, the giraffe looking out on the savannah…

  4. I agree with Mimi, just can’t seem to pick a favorite. We too had that music at our wedding (doesn’t everyone?). Lol. Nice way to begin my Sunday….thank you.

For such exotic and wild animals it was so peaceful. Great pics.

  8. LaDona's Music Studio says:

Oh, that’s just beautiful. Black and white gives it a calmness that colour doesn’t.
(… and I’ve played that music at many weddings…)

    • Yes, I agree, peace and calm are the feelings that came over me watching this video…(and you played at weddings – and morsel of background previously unknown…:))

      • LaDona's Music Studio says:

Yes – weddings – the easiest (and least satisfying) way for young musicians to pay the rent.

  9. It’s just fabulous. Captivating.

  10. So stunning — powerfully wild and peaceful at the same time. An amazing collection of images. Thanks for sharing this, Dave.
