Good Morning

And on this uneventful morning, the soft rain makes the oak outside my window dip enough for the early light to stream across the braided mountain hanging on my wall. Now the thread on the border swells with the sun and seems for the moment the source of all strength. Then the sun steps higher in the sky, and the thread that holds all things together goes back to work.

  1. And we haven’t had rain for several weeks now….. and hayfever makes me an outcast when I go shopping….. 😉

      1. I DO feel ppl’s anguish about my pollen allergy…. You can’t cough, or sneeze (God help them!!!!) or even blow your nose nowadays w/o everybody running for cover. And in far over a decade, I haven’t had a hayfever as strong as this year ;( NOT a good time to ‘stand out’ – and my white hair isn’t helpful in the slightest…

          1. I blame it on them too. I’m white since forty …. Had time to get used to it. My LITTLE bro has it better than me; he shed his hair at around 25. He can sneeze and have swollen eyes all he wants, NOBODY gives him the evil eye….

        1. I get that. Anyone who sneezes, coughs or blows their nose is radioactive. I do all three, (for as long as I can remember) especially in the morning. Luckily, I don’t go anywhere these days and my wife is used to it. Hang in there.

  2. Ya do find yourself noticing absolutely *everything* around the house. Yesterday I realized I had forgotten to dust the desk in my office when I cleaned over the weekend…😂

    1. Ha, I notice it too but do nothing, ’cause the dust us back 30′ later…. we have the door to our patio open all day. It’s just not worth it.

  3. this morning we noticed fine particles on top of the iced car’s windows…I said to dear hubby the pollen has laid down upon the ice…later in the day I went and looked at the cars covered in fresh yellow pollen, continuously exploding from the trees exhales …
