The love a parent feels for a child is strange…
It’s like trying to describe sand between your toes or snowflakes on your tongue to someone who’s lived their whole life in a dark room.
It sends the soul flying.

Beautiful words it really touched my heart, David. They were so true and the picture was awesome.
So me too, on both fronts. And worth panning through photographer’s Instagram site. Amazing.

Yes absolutely David.
spot on. and there is something about these multi-generational shots that sweep over me with a deep emotional tug.
Yes it sure looks like.
Me too!
Bam. There is no other love like this…my mom used to say ‘it’s the one hat you can never remove’…your quote is far better.
Your Mom had it figured out. 😑

Truth! Deep soul love 💕
It is!
Oh, yes. I’ve heard it described as wearing your heart outside your body for the rest of your life. Loved this, David. So perfect. Have to check out the links.
Heart outside body. Love that Roseanne. Thanks.
And as a childless woman, I find it strange from the other side, too.
Thanks, DK. I forwarded this to my three daughters this morning. Some day they will understand.
Oh they will Ray. They will.
A Beautiful gift from a dad to his daughters. They will cherish it forever. ☺
Yes. Yes it is.

This is beautiful.
Unconditional love….
I think it’s like trying to describe love at all. I mean, parental love goes beyond the pale. But so does romantic love, in its own way. Such a complex emotion!
Yes. And so powerful.
Oh, this is the Ove guy.
Parental love, and there is a certain something about the way kids love their parents. I should say sons and daughters, any age. I find that impossible to describe too.
The Love for the child and that of a child’s Love to their parents, is instantly forged, forever tattooed on the Soul…
❤
Lovely, David. 🙂 — Suzanne
Thanks Suzanne…
Oh wow. Yes. And, as ever, well timed. Mine is starting high school in a few days and yeah, I am feeling nostalgic and wishing time would stall just a bit…
I wish I could tell you it will Bonnie. And I won’t tell you it speeds up. I won’t.
I’ve always known you to be wise, my friend.
When you make the same mistakes over and over, you can be a great coach. 🙂
You weren’t supposed to take my compliment and turn it around, but that’s funny, I must admit! 🙂
Truth!
