Lightly child, lightly

And now an inaudible breeze, a mist, a silence, a kiss almost,
gathers them together,
erases them, caresses them, and very gently mends them.
Now they are as they are.
Now they can be recognized.

~ Vicente Aleixandre, from “The Class,” A Longing for the Light

  4. Obviously her feet hurt from those shoes. Not sure if it would be better if she put them back on or kept walking on that surface in the dark. Has to be dirty. In a city. Yuck! Nice legs though.

To be who we really are, to show our very self… feeling recognized and understood without feeling guilty… or ashamed… just for one single moment…. that must be incredible marvellous.

  7. Christie says:

A common experience of youth has brought them to this point of exposing vulnerability, a by -product of their actions… an age of carefree innocence on the road to development of potential…reality in motion as they drift, finding anchor in gentle care and rest…garnering strength to be who they are…

  8. Beautiful, bright afterglow. I could read the quote that inspired your “Lightly
child, lightly” every day many times and still stop suddenly to realize its truth.
