Glen Hansard and Lisa Hannigan: Falling Slowly.
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can’t go back
The moods that take me and erase me
And I’m painted black
Well, you have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It’s time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
You’ve made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I’ll sing it loud
in a twist of time and fate, i was listening to this very song on pandora, as i read your post. he is my very favorite musician.
Mine too. Cosmic Connection Shinto. Wired through the cosmos.
Simp;y, lovely…
I just sent you an email, using an alternate address one from comcast as my yahoo.com email is down…titled Pearls.
Oh dear David, you are so nice so nice. I know this song and if I don’t make a mistake they joined to the Eurovision song contest, aa few years ago. I loved them so much. And this song is amazing… Thank you so much, have a nice day and weekend, Love, nia
Yes. And no matter who seems to join Hansard, it is still spellbinding.

This was the film that I met with him, dear David, Glen Hansard / Markéta Irglová….I was wrong about the song contest 🙂 sorry I am getting older… Love, nia
Thanks Nia!
They remind me very much of “Civil Wars” (Joy Williams and John Paul White).
Agree, Anneli!
Yes, now that you mention it, they do
I really like their music. Too bad they broke up.
This kind of music makes my heart ache. Shimmering….
It is, so good.
I might be kicked out if I play it one more time!
Funny!
Have you seen “Once”, the movie he starred in (this was the theme song). A really GOOD movie.
Yes. I hate musicals. I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
A favourite song of mine from a beautiful Irish movie – loved that story! It was interesting to see the two stars of the film collecting their Oscar for the Best Original Song, they looked like they were in the wrong place! Such ordinary people with an original idea for a film, the Oscars must have been an surreal experience for them. 🙂
Yes. And they were so deserving…
