- 1 container (8 oz) whipped cream cheese
- 12 slices sourdough bread
- 3/4 cup Orange Marmalade (*Don’t like Marmalade? Replace with your favorite Jelly or Jam)
- 4 Eggs
- 2 tablespoons 2% milk
- Maple Syrup, Optional (Nothing optional about it. Mandatory)
- Spread cream cheese over six slices of bread; top with marmalade and remaining bread. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
- Lightly grease a griddle; heat over medium heat. Dip both sides of sandwiches into egg mixture. Place sandwiches on griddle; toast 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. If desired, serve with syrup. Yield: 6 servings.
1 Sandwich = 447 calories. (Don’t ask how many I inhaled.)

I gained a pound just looking at the photo.
Oh come on Anneli. You’ll burn it off.
It does look good….
Love French toast too not had it since childhood though
Then, you must try this recipe Scott.
Oh boy does that look sinful – and really, really, really good.
Let me vouch…if WAS very good.
Far too many carbs, David, 😯
Come on Sylvia. Live a little.
….or expand a little. 🙂
That works!
Every time. 🙂
Is the milk percentage important? 2% sounds very precise. Is 2% lower than whole milk, in which case this recipe can be seen as appropriate for those on a diet. The more you eat, the more you diet. Very cunning, DK!
It is critically important Michael. The recipe is not to be altered. Produce as instructed. BTW, I thought you Brits founded Orange Marmalade, so this should be right up your alley.
It is right up my alley, and ideally would also be right down my throat, given half a chance.
Ahhh yes, now you’re talking.
ty for the food porn offering, makes me happy just looking at it )
Looking? Where’s the fun in that?
ah, but no hurry and the visual is just the first step, food foreplay then? feel better with that?
OK, I’m warming up to it when you put it that way.

That’s the spirit.
Thanks for the recipe. With the holidays rapidly approaching, it’s a perfect way to end Thanksgiving weekend before friends and family head home.
Peggy, I can vouch for this. Scrumptous. Let me know what you and the family think.
So yummy, can someone make them for me?
They are good frozen and re-heated too! Had them again today!
