I watch. I can’t break my stare. And, calm settles in…Either that or the REM as I keep refocusing is tiring me out, forcing me to relax.
I would love to see the rest of the clip and in colour. Would be fantastic.

In black and white it’s so ethereal and mesmerizing. We have an area near us — the Monarch Grove in Pismo Beach — where the monarchs over-winter. It’s incredible to see thousands of butterflies on the trees, taking to flight in the sunlight. Thanks for this reminder, Dave!

Had missed this one. The only thing better than this is seeing the Monarchs migrate across the Long Island Sound. Imagine this image at sunset across slick calm water that looks like mercury. I thinks its God telling us to slow down, that he is with us, if we will just pay attention.
