Things that soothe my soul…

I came across a post this morning on a blog that I follow called Making Things Happen – and then proceeded to poach the graphics and twist the idea a bit for the weekend.  (I wasn’t looking to “get fired up” this morning.)  What was a bit of a head scratcher is that I had to work to get to 10. (There’s a message to me in that pondering as well.)  Here’s my top 10.  Your top three would be???

    - quiet mornings with the knights sleeping under the round table and a cup of coffee
    - an afternoon nap when it’s raining outside
    - having all the kids around for Sunday brunch
    - getting outside of my own head
    - hugs
    Happy weekend David…

  2. Love your list :-)

    Mine would be:

    * Making the effort to have a “high tea” even though it was just for my friend and I.
    * Time spent with my neighbours dog (that I am looking after while they are away). She is 16yo, and not far from doggy heaven. Every moment spent with her is precious.
    * Time spent with my new camera.

A walk along the beach, any beach
    Thanksgiving dinners with the family
A great belly laugh……where it hurts

  4. My list would be as such:
Falling asleep in a hammock by the ocean
    Listening to instrumental scores
Hearing the words “I love you”

reading 1 and 10 just soothed my soul ^-^

  6. The page turner and a lazy Sunday afternoon sound great to me after a hectic week.

  7. #5,6 (its the sweet mountain air that goes straight to the soul), and 7 – then toss in some hugs from my family, good coffee, and some good music. Have a great day, Dave.

  9. Genie says:

hugs, my back yard, the moment I realize the topic for my next blog, seeing someone have an aha moment and the end of day when I finally put my feet up.
