It is daybreak here in Rio.
A lovely and cold dry morning.
How nice that all nights have radiant mornings.
It’s a quarter to six. I write while listening to music. Anything will do, I’m not difficult.
I am completely magical and my aura is bright blue.
Everything I touch, is born.
~ Clarice Lispector, from “Brasilia; Splendor” in The Complete Stories (edited)

You do come up with such gems!
Thanks Julie!
Beautiful and what a wonderful poem, David.
It is Kamal. It is…
Yes true David.
What an amazing feeling to greet the day…
Each dawn, a new day. Yes, amazing…esp early spring mornings.
and a new day is born –
It sure is…
Ah-h Rio where the girl from Ipanema went walking along the beach…, and here in central NJ, and wherever you are, life is a gift!
Valerie, I agree Life is Such a Gift! You mention NJ I have a girlfriend who lives in NJ! Though I think a little north of you? She is in Somerset County, Pea Pak-Gladstone…
Girl from Ipanema. Yes. Classic. Good one.
“How nice” yes. Not all mornings are radiant, but this is the Truth I cling to in the Dark: Morning will come.
And it does. Thankfully.
What a perfect follow to your Its Been a Long Day post!
It is!
“Everything I touch, is born” – When I read, “I touch, is born” I think of my joyful, neighbor. She is close to retirement and the head midwife in the practice. Every work day she has the Privilege and Joy, to touch, to hear the murmur or cry, to see that sweet face as the babies eyes open peering into hers, while focusing on surrounding, new found light, to hold, to witness the first external breath, to feel that movement of breath inhale and exhale, to listen to the tiny heart beat, as she holds this tiny newborn life…She has so many awe stopping moments of beautiful wonder and I would say that one particular moment of deep, reverent wonder, love and awe was almost a year and half ago when she flew to the United Arab Emigrants to deliver her first grandchild, a little boy, (J…)..her oldest daughters and her son- in- law’s, Joy! Such a Miracle…and I think of all the babies she has delivered in her 30+ years…so many miracles have joined the world!
Wow. Wonderful story. Thanks for sharing Christie.
viewing the photo in that orientation gives a cloud, a new perspective one of a puff of air
