Not a good picture for my soul…. I was an ardent fan of zoos, for years – and now I’m pretty much against all of them. I just no longer can see all those animals in surroundings not their own. It’s a personal thing and I can’t explain it (or don’t want to). But it’s a great photo and indeed, those caged giraffes seem to say: Well that was a long week!

What amazing creatures …. Take a good look at their gaze; they should be roaming free, not in cages! Yet, they may be safer at the Alipore Zoological Garden. Humans?!!
