and sometimes it is the light bleed through the hastily closed curtain, that anxiously, penetrates into the interior,as the light plays shadow puppet tag on the wall…
Standing “outside” my window is in my mind as I read this. Tapping to get in… and then finding myself inside and waking up to bring the light in.

It’s deep. Very deep.
Abuse and trauma can make us so detached from our sense of self, especially in the vulnerable nighttime. I know this from a friend.
Drop the umbrella of protection and let in the light…that’s what I’m metaphorically doing in my own life these days…cheers to a great post!
