Worked on these issues last year, visited two countries with 5 huge refugee camps in each. Heartbreaking. Millions of kids grow up under these conditions. The numbers are disheartening http://www.unhcr.org/en-us/figures-at-a-glance.html

Numbers can never show the impact on our fellow human beings. When we touch it directly, it opens our eyes and hearts to others who are just like us. 🙏

Ugh…such a punch in the gut. So much of this. It feels endless. Here, too, in our own land, the heartbreak. We do what we are called to do – help out in our local food pantries, write checks, make sandwich after sandwich after sandwich, which is what our Unitarian Universalist group has been doing for many years. At some level, I just cannot understand.
That’s it Roseanne. A punch in the gut. That’s exactly how I felt when I saw this shot at 3am.
And yes, we do what we can do.
Everyday I recognize my immense abundance when I hear and see the pain in this world. Each of us can do our part to balance a very unbalanced world. 🍀

we should never, just close our eyes. I know no one ‘wants’ to see this. its brutal. its messy. it is despair at the deepest level. But we can each do one small thing to help, someone, somewhere.
