There are some who can live without wild things
and some who cannot . . .
when the dawn-wind stirs through the ancient cottonwoods,
and the gray light steals down from the hills
over the old river sliding softly past its wide brown sandbars –
what if there be no more goose music?

I am one who cannot live without the wild things…a beautiful photo 😊
I have managed to drift away from the wild things. And need to return. And yes, it is a beautiful photo…
I’m thinking a return to a few of the wild things might be just the antidote to that insomnia, pal. Maybe your mind is trying to tell you something….
Smiling. Yes…
there is something so calming about being amongst the wild things. it’s always a revelation anew each and every time.
Yes.
Breathtaking, photo….I am going to walk along the river this morning. I made the proclamation to the half awake hubby about 4:30 am…he just now asked me when I’d like to leave 🙂
Laughing. Funny!
It was so beautiful, out along the river…it rained late yesterday, only the second or maybe third, rain in about 6 months! and not much fell, maybe 1/8 of an inch..The Army Core of Engineers are taking down the water levels in the dams so the drought struck river was running, higher. The temp today in the low 70’s so the woods smelled so wonderful after a small taste of rain…I picked a few pine needles and put them in my pocket to smell later, essence of life for sure..,off now to the garden bed to do my P.T. exercises… He and the pup are already out there…He might read to me..he hasn’t finished Jack Kerovac’s “On The Road” yet. Ha, he just came in to see what I am doing and to show me a cabbage he just picked, the rain must have split it..Coleslaw tonight! 🙂 After, after the hike and some shopping…He made, great from scratch Clam Chowder (organic milk was on sale) ….
What a day!
What a beautiful picture.
Loved it too Micheline.
