Wake up, you poets:
let echoes end,
and voices begin.

Where *do* you find these images, pal? Always such a perfect complement to the text. You are the master….
Thank you Lori.
WLS..you really are..
sing out
For as long as you’ve been posting this series, I’ve thought how difficult (impossible?) it is to feel lightly while feeling deeply. Yet, with the calming of my breath and the realization I have choice, slowly, slowly I am beginning to see it is possible.
Interesting, I think the same thing Carolann and I too am finding that I slowly, very slowly thinking lightly. Long way to go, but I see the path.
I’m glad we’re on the same path.
That image is surely poetry itself!
And here is my favorite poem from 13th century mystic poet Jelaluddin Rumi, which I wanted to share for “Lightly Child, Lightly” series:
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase *each other*
doesn’t make any sense.”
From Essential Rumi
by Coleman Barks.
Let’s step lightly into that field of Light
beyond the burden of judgements..
Where compassion run deep
And where joy’s lightness felt in every step..
K, thank you for sharing. Love these adds to Lightly Child, Lightly Series.
Wow that’s a powerful statement, love that!!♥ Thank you for the link too, I’ve bookmarked his book, sounds like my kind of poet, but different to a style I’ve read before. 🙂
I need to bookmark the book too Suzy. I read several pieces of his work. Need to digest more.
Beautiful!♥
