People can’t agree on where coffee’s secret lies: opinions range from the smell, the color, the taste, the consistency, the blend, the cardamom, the roast, to the shape of the cup and a number of other things. For me, it’s the timing. The great thing about a perfectly timed cup of coffee is that it’s in your hand the instant you crave it. One of life’s most exquisite moments is that in which a small luxury becomes a necessity.

For a minute, I was looking around for the hidden camera – then I realized her nails looked way better than mine. Yes – this is first, most appreciated luxury of the morning (other than waking up in the first place that is 😉 )..
Interesting. The attention to the nails. Men are from Mars, Women…
Women…are fantastic, no matter where we’re from. 😉
Of course they are!
Good answer pal, good answer..
Funny….that was the first thing I noticed too…her nails. Maybe I’m finally getting in touch with my feminine side? But, back to the topic at hand…why does it matter?. Just be glad that the brown water is there for us.
Very funny!
It’s all of the above for me. Coffee is so soothing. And my favorite morning ritual involves my husband bringing me my first cup in bed with a biscotto.
Well, that is so romantic I can’t even (as the kids say).
Cookies in bed, in the morning?!? My God, I’d be monstrous in size.
Yes, coffee is Friend and Muse. It is Ritual and Treat.
Beautifully said…love my morning coffee!
I’ll drink to that…
it is the comfort of knowing it well. an old friend.
The smell of coffee is so aromatic! It always makes me think of being with friends and connecting 🙂
But not to late or I don’t get sleeeep
So true!
