A remarkable true story of a blind hiker, Bill Irwin, and his 2100 mile journey of faith along the Appalachian Trail with his Seeing Eye dog Orient.
How do you know which way to go?
I don’t. I just follow him.
How does he know?
God leads the Dog. Dog leads me.

Courage and faith – can’t be seen, but man, can they be felt…amazing.
You CAN “feel” it with this man. I agree Mimi. You captured it beautifully.
This man’s journey is amazing. It makes any excuse (“I can’t …”) seem pretty lame.
Jacques, that’s exactly what I thought and felt after watching this clip (3x).
absolutely amazing.
Can’t wait!
This takes Wild to a whole other level. My father is blind and if I think about which sense might be dispensable, it isn’t my sight.
Yes, I agree Carolann. Losing sight would be toughest.
Wow!! No words …. awesome!

Overcoming … and being thankful!!
Incredible. You can sense how he “sees” the world around him through his ears and nose with such intensity. In many ways, he possibly experiences things on a higher level than those of us who are distracted by sight. I love his faith in God to lead the dog.
I agree Sarah. He had a awareness level 2-3x mine own.
What a great post. It left me feeling humbled by awareness of how much I simply take for granted in my life. This story of Bill Irwin’s faith and trust in his dog and his god is very inspiring! Thank-you for sharing 🙂
Yes, I like your choice of words in Humbled. I felt the same way…
Awesome and humbling. Whole life workout inspiration. WLWI.
Yes. Exactly. Physical and Spiritual awakening.
Amazing courage and trust! So inspiring.
Goosebumps. I have goosebumps with the trailer. I will have to see this. Thank you.
Apparently they are filming this year, so it may be a ways away yet.
There’s so much about this clip that takes my breath away: this man’s faith in God, in himself, in his dog. When I watched this clip, I just kept thinking ‘centered,’ this guy has drilled down to the essence of it all. And that’s not a dog, that’s an angel….😊
Yes!
Amazing. I have no other words…
Looking up, seeing Lori’s comment…yes.
God leads the dog and the dog leads me. I think that is profound. God leads. God knows the way to lead and we are all blind. My we all find our dog. Love, Sheri
Smiling. May we all find our dog. Yes, Sheri. Well stated.

“God leads the dog and the dog leads me.”
I find this statement so profound.
By the way, we are all blind. May we all find our dog.
