This is to say nothing against afternoons, evenings or even midnight.
Each has its portion of the spectacular.
But dawn — dawn is a gift.
Much is revealed about a person about his or her passion, or indifference,
to this opening of the door of day.
No one who loves dawn, and is abroad to see it,
could be a stranger to me.

Here in Greece, we always wish, ‘good dawn’ before going to sleep. Dawn is indeed a gift in so many ways… 🙂
You Greeks. Always first and ahead of the rest of us. 🙂
What a lovely thought …………… Love it.
It is!
i am all about the dawn. love this.
Me too Beth. Me too.
For me, a treasured time of day. Watching the sun rise, I feel as though the world has been refreshed, the rough edges sanded a bit, and the possibilities for writing a different ending (if desired) renewed. In short, for me dawn is the clarion call for “Yes, it’s possible–give it another try!” 🙂
The time of day for good morning emails, catching up with DK (with coffee in hand, otherwise it’s impossible), the quiet as the backdrop of the day changes from night to morning. It is the perfect time of day, a welcoming silence – shared.
And succinctly captured, yet again…fantastic.
Both of you. YES.
Those who claim not to be Morning People are a puzzle to me—like Republicans and Evangelicals.

Poetic. Philosophical. Beautiful.
It is, and so true.
“I like every minute of the day.”

Me too, dawn minutes especially…
I feel you, Mrs.Oliver …I`m having a meeting with dawn every Monday to Friday … a pleasure it is…
🙂 Me too Neja. Me too.
On the rare occasions that I am up before dawn, I feel like I am witnessing something so special.
I witness it every morning Carolann. It is special.
