“Even now, all possible feelings do not yet exist, there are still those that lie beyond our capacity and our imagination. From time to time, when a piece of music no one has ever written or a painting no one has ever painted, or something else impossible to predict, fathom or yet describe takes place, a new feeling enters the world. And then, for the millionth time in the history of feeling, the heart surges and absorbs the impact.”

oh, absolutely, and it is always a new miracle. we never cease to be amazed.
Beth, your words remind me of Einstein:
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
― Albert Einstein
and he and i are in complete agreement on this.
Of course you are.
So true- we kept getting more and more intrigued as life unfolds itself and makes us believe that life is a continuous learning process.
And so true, as you age.
nothing can match it
Yes…

David will have to tell us, did he put the picture and the prose together, or was it packaged that way already. For me I was drawn by the picture and captivated by the words.
Thanks for sharing Robert. The pairing was mine, a fortuitous moment (synchronicity?) – I came across both in a matter of 12 hours. The photograph I couldn’t shake. And the Krauss passage, magical.
I put Krauss book on my 2014 wish list, did you read in total?
I read “History of Love” several years ago. It wasn’t for me. Bit shocked as to how many quotes I have since found from the book that I appreciate. Maybe I need to go back to the book today… Sorry, Robert, what do you mean by “in total”?
By ” in total” I meant finished which, by way of explanation, u did.
Agreed with pairing. Magical.
Thank you
Yet to experience , but hope to feel an emotion that will make life fly.
Fly? Or perhaps slow, and relish each moment…
