Heal tapping with Bruce…

thumbs up

It’s 6:45am. (Monday)  I walk out the door.  Cold air bursts to greet me.  Mother Earth’s greeting: GOOD MONDAY MORNING Pal!  My morning wake-up call.  I scramble to get into the car.  I turn up the heater.  More frigid air in a frontal assault.  I rub my hands together vigorously. And shiver.  I back the car out of the driveway and get on the road.  My fingers scroll the dials to find Bruce.  Stop on “Radio Nowhere.”  I dial it up.  Way up.  And set it to run a continuous loop.

I just want to hear some rhythm.

My car is running on mid-grade and running on Bruce – – who is now coursing through the car. And coursing through me.

The Sun, a mere 100 million miles away, finds her way through my windshield to warm my skin.  (I feel more lift.  She’s pulling me. Pulling me up.  I’m thawing out.  And my bones are telling me…It’s a good day.  I’m feeling good.)

I just want to hear some rhythm.

I’m feeling unusually “up” for a Monday morning. (I’m Secretariat bursting out of the starting gate. I’m Mario Andretti accelerating on the inside lane and surging past the lead car. I’m Andrea Bocelli belting out Con te partirò.  Anything is possible today.  The Spirits are soaring.  Let me at it…)

I want pounding drums.

My left foot is tapping (banging) on the floorboard.  (Why do I foot-tap with my heel rather than my toe?  Now, what could that possibly mean? And, why would I even care?)  Heel tap. Heel tap. Heel tap.  Or Heal tap?

I want a million different voices speaking in different tongues.

Hmmmmm.  (Now Bruce is encouraging me to have a million voices speaking to me in different tongues.  Like I don’t have plethora of my own voices speaking jibberish to me 24×7 and it’s all I can manage. Heel tap. Heal tap. Heel tap. Heal Tap.)

This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?

I just want to hear some rhythm.

Heal tap.  Heel tap. Heal tap.  Heel tap.
