What talent!!
Unbelievable talent!
Amazing artist!
Yes!
A type of illustration I have seen in some childrens books.
Not the books I saw when I was a kid. I needed Tonka trucks and trains! 🙂
Wow.
Packs an emotional punch, doesn’t it? She creates a longing for something – something I don’t even know. (The sappy Michael Buble in the background right now – an old BeeGees tune – could be influencing my reaction.)
Yes, she’s so very good…
I especially like the second picture of the violinist and girl balancing and playing their way across the wall…You can feel the lightness of their step, the playfulness in the air
Yes, there is a lightness in most of her illustrations. Incredible how she can do that…
And given the seriousness of the topics for the books she illustrates, it’s even more amazing. I just went to her site and saw that many of her drawings replicate the events of Kristalnacht…
Correct. I couldn’t post one of the illustrations with Truck with lights shining in dark with children looking down from the windows. See symbol on truck.
Magical! I, too, especially like the second image.
Yes. I had an incredibly difficult time picking the few I shared.

Yes, thanks for sharing and adding to the conversation.
