I photographed my first blue jay yesterday. I was not able to get as close as this photographer did. Unfortunately I don’t have one of those super zoom lenses; well, not yet anyway.

This has got to be the most royal blue jay I have ever seen! My folks always were annoyed by jays, but I always love their blue, blue wings flitting in the evergreens!
