The hours between 12am and 6am
have a funny habit of making you feel
like you’re either on top of the world,
or under it.

On top – it makes no sense, but I love those hours, even though I’m not a night owl at all..
Me too, mostly on top…
Me three. I feel like I’m queen for the day in the pre-dawn hours, mistress of all I survey… 🙂
Smiling. Peas in a Pod.
On the occasions I’ve been on early morning road trips, I’ve loved the hours before dawn, when the world is asleep, the dark encompassing. Then, the sky starts to lighten and the houses brighten. I imagine people stumbling into the kitchens to put on the coffee, their eyelids still heavy with sleep, the beginning of a new day.
Yes, beautifully captured Carolann…Yes.
you have it, or it has you, by the tail.
that is true 🙂
Maybe there lies the reason I can’t go to bed before at least midnight or later…. I wish I could send you the photos I took when we drove off our home on that Thursday morning at 6am – funny clouds all over, magic light, especially when driving through Paris, heading towards Calais – magic, magic, magic…. Dead tired, husband driving, I’m ‘on top of it’ because I couldn’t stand anywhere else….
(Thanks for asking, have recovered since.. 🙂 )
Smiling. I can see all this. I can…
