My Brother sent this post to me over the weekend from Living The Balanced Life. I panned down the body visual and mentally took the stress test.
- Irritability & Anger. Anxiety: Check
- Grinding Teeth & Tension in Jaw: Check Check.
- Increase Heart Rate. Diabetes: Not that I know of. No Check. (Only after Espresso)
- Upset Stomach. Abdominal Pain: No Check (Note: Evidence of occurrence after Taco Bell)
- Weight Gain: Check. Check.
- Decreased Sex Drive: No comment. WTMI.
- Muscle Tension: Check. (From any form of exercise)
- Alcoholism, Tobacco, etc: Clean
50% score. I clearly passed this test! Off to work to test the stress muscles…

Really!? 6 out of 10. Please take it again. With Super Moon out, it may have thrown you off kilter.

Sigh…I cannot blame the Super Moon. C’est moi – I internalize stress – a lot. The good news, is that I probably scored higher before I left the firm, so at least the trajectory is right.

I read your comment this morning. I was basking in it all day! I think you reduced my stress level by at least 1 check! 🙂 Seriously, thanks for the feedback. Means a lot to me.
As to your 3 checks, you must be part-Android. And 3 checks from someone who lists pizza as their favorite food and 2nd toe longer than first. I have all this and my count is sky-rocketing. What’s the secret sauce?
Love your posts by the way. You have quite a eye (and great taste)!

RE: Fact #1. Just had coffee with one of my best friends, whose daughter is anorexic and spiraling downwards despite all the medical and psychiatric help available. I find it incredible that my body would react to what – at this point of my life – is a relatively small, mundane stress level, the same way that her body is dealing with her stress.

After the test, I note with satisfaction that all is well … lol! Think positive and a little physical activity with healthy eating are apparently sufficient to achieve this.

All I can say is what a great reminder that stress is not good for us, and makes us do crazy things! I have scored far too high on this, and think I have been there for a long time! Does realize this get me a bonus uncheck??? Knowing about it is the first step to doing something about it……thanks for the reminder. Must get better at dealing with stress and to deal with it in the moment…..
