What happens every day is what’s surprising. The treasure’s never where I look to find it but where I simply look — the sky, the wind, sunrise, a silver arc, the moment’s chance.
— Ursula K. Le Guin, from “The Everyday (At Kishamish)” in “Finding My Elegy: New and Selected Poems”

Perfect quote for this lovely look at the everyday loveliness surrounding us.
Thank you Dale!
❤️
The fleeting beauty of this moment takes my breath away. Thanks for beginning my day with wonder, pal….💕
One can find wonder everywhere – our challenge is to look…well done, my friend..
Yes, truth Mimi. Thank you.
It’s not what we look at but what we see and we can see treasures everywhere.
We love Ursula Le Guin’s books although we are usually not readers of phantasy.
Thanks

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Me too Klaus. Right with you. Thanks.
I love the quote, the photos, and sweet video. We are indeed daily surrounded by the stunning, much of which we can too easily miss!
Truth!!!! Thank you!
Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I. But when the feather cones trembling. The wind is passing by.
Beautifully framed Maria. Thank you.
So very beautiful and meaningful. The first viewing only had the sound, not the feather on the flower. And I thought: Sounds a bit like my heavy breathing when I walk up the steep street with my shopping. And the birds always sing…. 😉
Then, in the 2nd viewing, I saw the dancing feather too, dancing although it was caught. I‘m glad that you see those tiny little signs of nature which create so much joy.
Thank you Kiki. Had to chuckle on your side street comment and heavy breathing, ME TOO!
I love seeing all these responses! This is a great quote (and you know me and quotes). Seems to be a focus in several places right now – simple is good. Thank you.
1. Your videography skills have improved!
2. I’ve been meaning to read Le Guin for a while now. Would you recommend, generally?
Thank you Laila. I’m afraid not on Le Guin recommendations. I need to explore the same.
Mother Nature flying your flag

You knocked it out of the park with this post Dave! Thank you for helping the world (try to) keep things in perspective!
Thank you Paul! Appreciate you!
Appreciate you too Dave!
Feel better soon!
Thanks Paul!
The wonder of beauty…kisses my heart, daily…
Meant to add: The post yesterday (from the 17th) from May Sarton – being in the garden and watching it over time so magical…we have a new bird bath this year too!
New Bird Bath! Awesome. Are you attracting more and/or new birds?
