  1. Oh, poor Wally. Those cones are not very comfortable. Dot and Lia hate them. Now Dot will be patient and wear hers if need be. But Lia has figured out how to get out of it. I don’t know how she does it but she’s like a Houdini. I turn around and it’s off! Hope you are better soon, Mr. Junior Executive. Sending hugs and snuggles. xo

  2. I think you left it all on the acorn field (so to speak). I imagine that it would hurt far more if you licked that paw into an infection, sweet boy…I’m sorry you have to navigate the world with a cone around your neck for a little while. Hopefully you don’t have wear it for long.

  3. Sorry, but I had to laugh at the “interdigital cyst.” We had the same issue with our previous dog, Ruby. We knew she had something between her toes and it was infected and swollen up, but we didn’t need to hear from the new vet who had just taken over, “Oh, she has an interdigital cyst and that will be X dollars.” We KNOW she has a cyst between her toes. Saying it in Latin doesn’t remove the thorn or seed or whatever it was. Anyway, we paid our money, never to return, and took our poor girl home. We soaked her toes in very salty water as hot as was comfortable for her and eventually with a little pressure, it opened up and out popped the grass seed or whatever it was. Good luck to Wally. I’m sure it’s sore.

  4. We all hate to wear things that are uncomfortable when “the doc“ tells us to Wally. But when your foot doesn’t hurt anymore, you will realize that it was worth it! “The doc“ makes humans wear uncomfortable stuff sometimes too! So we understand your frustration. Get dad to show you a picture of a human in a full body cast! After looking at that, “the cone of shame“ won’t feel so bad. Trust me! As a bonus, you look great in blue! :-). Hang in there, buddy… I left you another message on Facebook!
