Got up on a cool morning. Leaned out a window.
No cloud, no wind.
Air that flowers held
for awhile…
So these moments count for a lot—peace, you know.
Let the bucket of memory down into the well,
bring it up.
Cool, cool minutes.
No one stirring, no plans. Just being there.
This is what the whole thing is about.
—William Stafford, from “Just Thinking” in Allegiances

Perfect! A cool, clear morning here on Florida’s Gulf Coast as well. Just back from my morning constitutional with the pups. Everyone stretched out and snoring contentedly. Life is good. Happy Saturday, pal. ❤️
Life is good Lori. Thank you.
These are the moments and we’d be wise to cherish them

Thanks Val!
Drawn into the beauty…day-dreaming of being semi-reclined against a big cushion, nestled against the stern seat in the wooden canoe, cradled… drifting in the protection of the cove…immersed under the soft painted sky, mirrored on the water… the moments of quite beauty…captivating…appreciated and one more Gift of Breath…takes us further…
Beautiful. Thanks Christie.
‘Air that flowers held for awhile…’ what a lovely way to say I could smell flowers…
Exactly. That turn of words caught me too.
