Wally’s Great Adventures (41)

Wally’s Great Adventures (41). hello friends, wally here. dad must have been ill, he was gentle dad this morning, in a soft moment, a frequency of occurrence like haley’s comet, he said NOBODY gives him a full-body-wiggle-hello, NOBODY gives him a welcome home like I do. he said it warms him all up inside, yes, he said that. he said mom used to do it a long time ago – when she saw dad, she would wiggle her a** and other things, but he said she doesn’t do that anymore, and she just wiggles her finger at him, and complains about her bad back and her sore feet. so, each morning, i wait under the table for dad to come home from his walk, i hear the garage door open and here we go. look at dad and me dance. i love dad, he’s the best. have a great weekend everyone! Wally. (Volume Up on Video!)

  1. Nothing beats a full body wiggle — you two are tied together at the heart!
The very best place to be tied!

  2. Few things are better than a “welcome home“ from a pup… so long as things calm down within about 10 minutes lol!

Wally‘s ears appear to have “perked up“… True? (if so, that’s one more thing Wally can scratch off of his: “dad is going to kill me“ list!)

  3. I miss it too, when the children greeted me at the door with a full body wiggle like this, Wally.

We grew up watching mom greet dad at the door. And it’s the most beautiful thing ever.
It’s such a precious expression of love.

  4. Oh Wally, just being you brings so much joy! I remember my 3 children greeting my husband jumping up and down “Daddy…Daddy…Daddy!” and being startled when they greeted me with the same excitement when I came home from work from a 2 day a week job…oh, they feel that way about me too!

  5. Yes!!!, such a sweet expression of love, between you and Wally…You’ll be such a Great Grandpa, too.

  6. The best welcome home possible!
But you scared me a bit, it looks – on 1st sight – like an intruder with a baton to beat down the door….. although wally knew who was coming!

  7. I just came across this post (again)… I loved it just as much today as when it was posted. Since I love dogs, and I am interested to the point where I have read three books on dog behavior, it jumps out at me that Wally stayed in the house! He didn’t run down and eat your boots lol! Show dog stuff for sure! (Or maybe he didn’t want to put his paws on that cold garage floor lol.)

      1. Oh, yes! Already have a breed and a breeder picked out. Someday I want a long-haired German shepherd (slightly higher maintenance than Wally!).

Super smart. Super high energy. Shed fur horribly! So I will need to spend a couple of hours a day outdoors, raise my fitness level to at least run a 5K with ease, and vacuum the house and furniture daily. Lol!

I am actually in a position to take care of a dog like this, but perhaps I need to set my sights on something lower maintenance. Lol! I came within a whisker of buying one in 2015, but life circumstances got in the way (and I lost a deposit.) That’s OK. Life happens.
