Seeing the film may’ve ruined the painting for me! However, I’d have never looked at the painting, if not for the film. When that happens, I realize all over again that I never go deep enough. Imagine going into debt over precious gems for a painting to last the ages… did he know, I wonder.

I recognized this as the book cover right away. Unique.
Yes. And sustained for hundreds of years. Awesome.
That’s one thing I love about history! How documents and artwork are preserved for so long. This is one of the many things I found so abhorrent about ISIS – smashing so many historic monuments and artifacts.
