I can't sleep…

It looks rather as if the fish is escaping its beak/bill!…..
Great pic. Let‘s just not swallow more than what is good for us!
Oh no. This fish will definitely not be escaping.
sadly (for the fish), it won’t….. but it looks so funny.
Nothing like a little protein to get your day going!
Ha!
That’s one big net he’s got there!
Right here, buddy!
Ha! Buddy down the gullet.
Yup!
We sure have been brainwashed by Walt Disney. I immediately felt sorry for the fish because it is small. Small size should not make us feel sorry. Mosquitoes are small too. Maybe that particular fish doesn’t get any bigger (although it probably does), or maybe it’s a case of survival of the fittest. At least the pelican is getting something to eat. I don’t have to judge what it eats. I’m just saying this to argue with my own reaction to the picture. Other commenters seem to have their head on straight already.
I think rather than brainwashing, it’s more a “live and let live” thing. (I myself cannot imagine the death of any creature happening in Eden for any R/reason.)
Every day that passes, I am closing in on the POV.
But I like to eat meat…..
We all like that. It’s really weird, though, to bite into something and think, “Dear God — this was something’s muscle (/rib/organ/etc)!” Here in the US, it’s all about money, so, many animals never live a genuine life before they become *processed* for sale, and for sure, we get diseases from over-consumption.. If I had to kill and dress(/fillet) my own flesh-meals, I’d have a lot of salad and raisin bran crunch!
I know. I hate the killing part of it, but it has to be done. I don’t like my meat “that” rare! 🙂
Oh, I get it. And Disney did a wonderful job in creating Fantasy Island.
great photo; I was looking for some poetry to go with it! 🙂
Nothing can top the visual!
I love a good visual. This one made me do a double-take. The fish does look as if it’s on its way out though. I suspect a snap shut later that won’t be the case. Isn’t it funny how the right image can make you stop and really take what may or may not (depending on your perspective and knowledge) happening all in. Nice! 🙂
So agree!
Wow
WHOA!!
