…wake up at six in the morning to make coffee…stay in bed, curled up under the comforter, hair tangled, skin warm, purring with pleasure.

no finer place to be.
the ultimate comfort food. Saturday mornings, to have them every morning!
Perfect morning
It is…
That’s the life…
oh, to live it more often…
Preach!

If only … today was an early one!! … ‘…wake up at six in the morning to make coffee…stay in bed, curled up under the comforter, hair tangled, skin warm, purring with pleasure.’ Maylis de Kerangal, The Heart: A Novel …
I am soooo looking forward to every day being a Saturday – though not a curl up under the covers in the morning kind of gal, I love the exquisite luxury of time to sit by the window and watch the river flow past.
Louise, that sounds exactly right for me too…
Oh, for me too!
… barking with joie de vivre (there are presently three people reading Lily‘s story on my recommendation… )
Just this minute back in France and all ready for a lie in!
Lie in! Like it!
stay in bed drinking my coffee actually happened! My husband brought me a surprise, a cup of coffee! Hope life is treating you well. 🙂
How great is he! How lucky are you!
🙂 He’s even bringing breakfast in the morning!
Wow. You got a great thing going on there!
He’s worried about me so he’s going a bit overboard.
Enjoy it while it lasts!!!
I’m getting scheduled for surgery so it will last a bit longer, at least coffee on some days. I don’t take it granted. I never know when he’s bringing because I can’t hear the machine. 🙂
Best of luck on surgery.
🙂
A wonderful way to start the day. Just don’t spill coffee on that super white bedding!
All these set up shots, (so unrealistic!)
Ha ha. Yeah. Coffee in bed is one thing, but all those snow white sheets without a spilled slosh???
Right!
I spilled coffee on me just looking at that photo! Mmm, lazy Saturday mornings — the one time many of us can sing along, “Life, I love you; all is groovy!”
Ha! So true! Groovy, how old are we!
I am a morning person but Monday morning I didn’t want to get up
Me too. Me too!
