Come and see if ye can swerve me. Swerve me? ye cannot swerve me, else ye swerve yourselves! man has ye there. Swerve me? The path to my fixed purpose is laid with iron rails, whereon my soul is grooved to run. Over unsounded gorges, through the rifled hearts of mountains, under torrents’ beds, unerringly I rush! Naught’s an obstacle, naught’s an angle to the iron way!

Yes, spectacular shot….by a world famous photographer. And if you haven’t seen this documentary, it’s worth your time:

Wow wow wow – THAT film I’d like to see…..
Oh definitely must see it as well!
thanks, dk. i’ll added it to my queue – can’t wait to see it
Me, I’m even worse, I thought it looked like two close-ups of my banana ‘trees’ in my veranda….. 🙂
Ha! Now that’s funny.
I thought they were sand dunes
Wow❤️😍
yes, incredible shot.
My very first impression was the same but then I saw the ‘waterfalls’…. 🙂
Oh yeah! I just noticed 😅
Bam
I’m a sucker for really good writing…. and this is! As for the pixie; good Lord, this is über-magic!
Insanely fabulous shot! One that, it seems, made all your readers look more closely. Well done, Mr. Kanigan, well done!
My followers all play at a higher plane than me, and revel in my mental doom loops. You included.
Oh do not even try to sell yourself short, young man! You awaken so much in so many. The great part is we all share and expand with each other’s observations, notes, questions, arguments… what a fab bunch we all are. You especially as host.
Smiling. Thank you Dale. I’ll own the Host function.
Et al…😎😊
I’ll admit, I knew what the photo was immediately. But I’m back from an amazing trip to Kauai, where whales displayed their jumping abilities every day, with such joy, such excitement, such abandon, that I had to hold myself back from joining them there in the deep Pacific Ocean.
Kauai. Wow. Good for you. That is sacred land. Period.
Sacred, spiritual, and beyond special. Sigh. I’m back there in my mind, believe me. With the turtles and the whales as the palm trees glide in the tropical air.

‘Naught’s an obstacle, naught’s an angle to the iron way!’ …
So great, right?!?! And 1851!
I feel the tug to return…return to the place where the ocean meets the continent…the place where the last of October, 2017 ..I was thrilled to once again watch the Magnificent Whales living their life’s and delighting me…
That must have been something…
AAAhhhhh … that’s the shot I’m looking for! 😀
One of my favorite books.
And I’ve never read it. I need to get at it.
