Lightly Child, Lightly.

I remember one morning getting up at dawn. There was such a sense of possibility. You know, that feeling. And I… I remember thinking to myself: So this is the beginning of happiness, this is where it starts. And of course there will always be more… never occurred to me it wasn’t the beginning. It was happiness. It was the moment, right then.

  • Post Title & Inspiration: Aldous Huxley: “It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.”

  6. Ah-h to be in this holy instant…or, if not, to remember that we can be there again…and again!
    Thank you, David.

  7. It’s good to look to the future and have goals (long term and short term) but this is a good reminder not to forget to enjoy the here and now.

  9. I do think happiness is ephemeral. What we Can aspire to and attain full-time is what Hariod Brawn terms “contentedness.” And yes, it’s still nice to enjoy a little spark of happy now and again 😉 https://contentedness.net
