  1. A beacon is worth exploration, to uncover the gold that lays beneath the surface… just waiting to shine…/// btw in regards to the source “A Brief History of the Whale Fishery” … almost two weeks ago we were mesmerized for at least an hour watching a pod of nine humpbacks, spouting, breaching and flashing their tail fin (I think it is called fluke??) One whale showed its perhaps dorsal fin closer to its head as it negotiated in a small cove. Most of the time it was just the two of us watching, sometime their were about six of us, at one point the crowd swelled to nine people…a wonderful experience…/// on the beach in front of our cottage a bunch of live crabs washed ashore, he gathered some, we went with another bag to gather more and we were now competing with the sea gulls, who had littered areas of the beach with the cast off of empty crab bodies… the crabs were packed for the drive home…our families palate enjoyed the gift of the seas bounty…

    1. Really? ” almost two weeks ago we were mesmerized for at least an hour watching a pod of nine humpbacks, spouting, breaching and flashing their tail fin “
