Lightly child, lightly.

W-B-Yeats

Sometimes if I stopped writing
and drew one hand over another
my hand smelt of violets or roses,
sometimes the truth I sought
would come to me in a dream,
or I would feel myself stopped when forming some sentence.

W. B. Yeats, A Vision

  4. You know?
To most people a scent can bring back a memory.
But, not just anyone can bring back a scent from memory. To just be sitting in the here and now and bring back a scent from memory is a very rare ability.

    Beautiful poem.

  6. Beautiful.
Violets, roses, horses, tomatoes … and adding some ground coffee and cut grass in there. Words do evoke our senses so much 💛
