Word. Full Stop.

Wrinkles here and there seem unimportant
compared to the Gestalt of the whole person
I have become in this past year.
Somewhere in The Poet and the Donkey Andy
speaks for me when he says,
“Do not deprive me of my age. I have earned it.”

  5. Yes.
But I’m still not ok with the sales lady at Bloomingdale’s yesterday.
I told her I need to upgrade my eye cream because I’m noticing dark circles.
4 nights a week I need to be up at 2 am for a client phone call overseas, sleep disrupted, dark circles.
Her comment was “Oh honey, we are just getting old”…
Her saving grace was the fact that she said “we” not “you”
I’m ok with the wrinkles and dark circles,
    Not ok with HER.

  7. Wrinkles ? Why all the fuss ? Think of them as lines of distinction; marks of maturity.”

  8. Strength & Value have expanded, much has been gained over a person’s life -time…arrival evident in oxidation of outward changes…as inward, Joy is extended outward…radiating true beauty…

  9. Not sure if what I wrote can out the way intended….We must value each other….outward appearance not important…our Soul’s extension of Love is and respecting others especially the elder …is paramount…
