Saturday Morning

wind-hair-sunrise

Outdoors,
anywhere in wind.
[…]
What is it that I want? Not money,
Not a large desk, not a house with ten rooms.
This is what I want to do: to sit here,
To take no part, to be called away by wind…

~ Robert Bly, “The Call Away,” Like the New Moon, I Will Live My Life

  1. Ha ha! Yes, but this morning I just want my husband to finish fixing the plumbing so we can have running water again. Wind adventure will have to wait. You really appreciate the little things when they’re suddenly gone. Happy Saturday everyone!

  2. Last week for a time, under cover of blue sky, sprinkled with clouds, the wind called me to move and explore as it buffeted me along a lonely stretch of beauty where the waves greet the land, rolling over the sand, splashing against the rocks…later sitting, the wind embraced me, affirming, life… life swept up in force of elements… attentive focus of gaze outward, taking in the mighty ocean, inwardly reflecting…as the whales, spouted and breached, living free in the mighty expanse…

  3. Thanks Dave, Along with many other folks I watched and listen to hundreds of amusing Sea Lions on some docks and rocks in a fishing bay.
