Big Wing. Big Bloody Wing.

I hope you’re enjoying your childhood.
When you grow up, a shadow falls.
Everything’s sunny and then
this big goddamn wing or something passes overhead.

  1. And sadly, as children, we don’t have the foresight to understand what a carefree time it is, we just barrel through, planning all the things we can do ‘when we’re grown-ups.’

  2. A different type of responsibility takes flight…..and then luckily some adults realize that they can, again engage their inner Joy…

  3. Love this. I guess when death passed over my head, the dark cloud stayed for awhile, but once I realised it didn’t have to, I began to see the cloud pass and reveal the beauty of the blue sky again.

  4. Then, if you’re graced, you see the light and the object create each other, an essence shared by all things and events. There’s conflict only when you can’t see the bigger picture, the overarching totality. Doesn’t necessarily take away our suffering, but gives it a wider perspective. I think that is the gift of age.
