When I worked in a major law firm in Canada or at the World Health Organization in Geneva, I liked to play a little “game” on Monday mornings. If other people got on the elevator with me, even if I didn’t know them, I would say, in a chipper voice, “How’s everyone today.” Inevitably, someone would groan that it was Monday morning. Then I would say, “Ah, don’t wish your Mondays away. They are 1/7 of your life.” That always got people thinking.
