Finally an internet connection, no cell coverage for my carrier, been gone a week…dispatch from Paradise Valley, Montana between Pray & Livingston about 40 miles from the North entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Ate my hearty breakfast of two fried eggs, a slice of gluten free bread topped off with my homemade organic, low sugar fig jam, about 3/4 of a cup of week old organic strawberries & blueberries, two slices of the best thick sliced bacon ever!! sugared & smoked on site purchased from a butcher /deli- shop in Western North Dakota- picked up some Elk as well as Buffalo meat. I watched some Sparrows, a Gopher and a Magpie cooperating at and below a bird feeder. They were all exploiting the easy pickings, against the backdrop of the Majestic Absaorka Range. My idealic cabin for a few days, sits in a wide bowl on a bench knoll with a spectacular, unparalleled 360 view of mountains, several ranges, including the Beartooth off in the distance and the wide gently curving Yellowstone river below, about a mile and a half across the valley floor and below. Went for a walk after breakfast, dodged Gopher holes, took some photos, called out to the wandering pup – who was enjoying the off leash freedom. Later, I sat outside gazing, talking and started a Nicolas Sparks novel. Just finished some Wensleydale cranberry cheese on Almond. brown rice & sesame seed crackers. Planning on heading out to Chico Hot Springs & maybe another spot, a lodge to here live music, tonight. If I run into Dennis Quaid I will be a Smiling and my eyes will be lit…Heading back out to gaze, listen to the birds and read 🙂 Soul Soothing, SLOW Living Vacation style in Paradise Valley…..
Thanks, Dave.Oh, of course Heinz Ketchup in tow 🙂 Last week I ate lunch, at the Teddy Roosevelt National Park in Medora, ND. had some wonderful Walleye. Some of the condiments at the Rough Riders Hotel were Heinz. Toured a great museum with family ties , no time to attend the ND Cowboy Hall of Fame. (also family ties) nor the Medora Musical. The Park is so beautiful. I saw long vistas,(ND has Badlands. too) the Little Missouri River, stood under Cottonwood trees, saw many Prairie Dogs and witnessed, in mass the Scared Mighty Buffalo. The Buffalo are so enormous. I am grateful for the experience ….
Great idea

An idea worth pondering. Whether any action is taken, remains to be seen.
